This summer has been kind on water temperatures but the wind has been stronger than usual. Tomorrow the forecast has improved slightly but is still not good from a wind angle. See below. Hopefully the evening will be more like fun as the wind decreases. The Lake is currently 16.5 C at 6 ft and water clarity at Gateside was 1.9m. The best bags in recent days have been on dries at the Malling shore or the buzzers and bung in Gateside Bay. David Mateer from Inverness had 10 to his rod yesterday with the latter method. 405 fish stocked today with more to go in later in the week.
Brian MacKenzie is on a great run in the boat league. He got his 10 fish last Wednesday on cormorants and dries in the film at the Gap.
