Our Aim
The Lake of Menteith Fisheries Company founding Objective was to preserve the peace and tranquility of the area, whilst at the same time providing local employment. The Lake at the time was increasingly becoming a venue for speed boats and water skiing. To enable the company to become effective managers of the Lake, The Lake of Menteith Fisheries Order Confirmation Act 1970 was passed. This gave the Company Legal Powers to Control the Fishing and any Activities Affecting the Fishing.
The Team
The shareholders of this company elect the Board Members and the Board Members Elect the Chairman who is Alan Simpson of Arntomie, Port of Menteith. The Board employs the who in turn employ the (above: from left to right) Manager (Quint Glen), Bailiff or Asst. Manager (Douglas Fraser), Permit shop (Elma Nisbet) and Fisheries Youngan Connor Shearer.
