BIG FISH BONANZA IN THE OFFING???

We will be moving the pens ashore and taking the ropes off during the day on Monday 27th October.

We appear to have plenty of fish left to stock this year but won’t know exactly till we go through all the pens. 715 two pound plus fish were stocked today (13/10/14) and that leaves another three pens to go through with at least 5-600 left to stock next week. For the final week the plan is to move the pen group ashore and take in the rope and stock whatever is left. We will do this on Monday 27th October – during the first half of the day.
Some of the best clarity of the year in the last week. Top areas have been the rookery, gateside and out from the shore road. The usual tactics, i.e. washing line with a sink tip and booby/nymph combo but more recently teams of cormorants of diawl bach types on a floating line have worked well – and also dries.

There are still 13 boats left for the end of season party – the Kirk and School Day
Fishing is 12-4, followed by a BBQ, singing and a raffle. Boat for two including BBQ, Soup and refreshment £45. All proceeds go to the local Primary School and the Kirk (roof).

Below Wullie Olsen with nice Bow. Right: Stewart Marshall (right) gets Central’s cup and more mistery anglers.
