| East winds
continued and gained in strength and chill factor, as the week
progressed. The lake has not warmed much due to this and the
low night temperatures. The good start on 30/3/02 has not
fallen away as quickly as in previous years and catch rate is
remaining high. As expected, over-wintered fish are being
caught in large numbers and are usually discernable by their
slim appearance and the fact that you can hold them up by the
tail. Fish weights are varying between 2-2 lbs and boat
average catches have been very good at 14-17lbs per boat. .

| Techniques have
varied but few anglers are now trying the floating lines -
which were successful on opening day. Most are using
intermediate lines with lures or hackled wets. The cats, booby
and damsel have all got fish. The eastern shores have produced
the best catches and this includes Sandy Bay.
