VACANCY FOR A TRAINEE/APPRENTICE - Assistant Trout Fisheries Manager

The Lake of Menteith Fisheries Ltd is looking to recruit a Trainee Assistant Manager to help look after their Trout Fishery business at the Port of Menteith, Stirling.
The successful applicant will be expected to have or obtain a driving licence and to have an interest in fish, angling, and the environment. The main focus of the fishery is to provide fishing recreation and jobs whilst at the same time protecting the amenity value of the locality. Practically, this involves the provision and maintenance of 30 boats and engines, the production of 25 tonnes of restocking quality trout in our trout growing facilities and the promotion and retail of: permits, tackle, hot rolls and light refreshments. The duties will evolve, and the successful applicant will be working in all areas of the fishery including the operation of the café.
As part of the position an Aquaculture (Finfish) Modern Apprenticeship is offered at SVQ level 2.
Salary is dependent on age and experience.
