Another blustery week with snow on the hills saw the anglers more often seeking shelter first and fish second – never ideal! The most popular tactic continued to be a sink tip line or slow glass with a booby on the point and diawl bachs, buzzers or cormorants higher up. More recently anglers have opted for a couple of dries with a buzzer in between with some notable success. Best areas have varied from all over including Hotel Bay (in the calmer weather) to the shelter of Lochend, Butts and Gateside in the wilder moments.
