Lake of Menteith Report 28th Sept

The Water temperature and clarity at Gateside is 14C and 1.6m. Hot spots in the preceding week have been the eastern shore; from Reedy Point to Lochend Bay. Recent wind direction has been moderate to strong south-westerlies or westerlies and anglers have gone to the Lochend/Butts drifts to find shelter. The loch will be stocked in two stages this week. The western basin from Gateside to the Butts was stocked on Monday 28th. The remaining half will be stocked Tues/Wednesday.


Scottish Club Championship Semi-Final Results
The 23 three man teams, 69 anglers caught 307 fish for 684lbs (103 returned), a rod average of 4.4 fish per angler. The Teams through to the final of the Scottish Club Championships are Ed Trout (22 fish 46lbs 13oz), Rothes Oak 22 fish 46lbs 10oz, Inverclyde FF 20 fish 41lbs 2oz, Crieff A, Balfron Pisc, Crieff B, Change B, Alba FF, Beith St.Inans and Strathleven. The cut off weight for qualification was over 30lbs. The Final will be a 5.30 finish with the meal at the Forth Inn Aberfoyle at 6.30 for 6.45pm.
