6ft Water Temp: 16C, Clarity (secchi disk): 2.5m . Hot Spots – Road Shore/Kates Brae and still just about anywhere else, weather permitting. Top tactics: Line - Sink tip; Flies - lures, diawl bach, blob, Kate McLaren.

Wild and Wet
A quieter couple of weeks at the Lake (angler wise) are in progress, but the weather has been mixed. Vic of the Angling Centre Stirling and Davie Stewart of the Port braved the elements on Monday 25th August. Don’t know what Davie (right) had to smile about. The earth ponds are now being emptied and the rest of our stock for 2008 will come from the fish pens in Gateside Bay.

Scottish Clubs 3 boats 30 fish 74lbs, Gartmore 7 boats 41 fish 106lbs, Cove and Kilcreggan 4 boats 20 fish, Rainbow AC 5 boats 29 fish 84lbs, Bothwell and Blantyre 7.5 boats 29 fish for 74lbs, Edin Trout Anglers 7 boats 36 fish 91lbs, Dundee West End – no catch record submitted, Falkirk FC 14 fish for 43lbs. Quite a few good individual boat catches.
