27th August Weekly Report

6ft Water Temp: 18.5C Secchi Disk Gateside: 3.2m A phenomenal week of heather fly at the Lake – more red legs then anyone could remember. The fish were where the flies were; Gateside, Reedy Point, Rookery, Hotel Bay, Shear Point and the Road shore. Best tactics: floater, sink tip with dries and hoppers. Clarity is on the up and temperature is probably now on the downward slope.
Some nice catches on dries this week. John Hood with one of 7lb 6oz and Steve O’Neill with another fine specimen.
