Decreasing water temperature in the last week coupled with some strong westerly breezes. Hot spots have been Hotel Bay, West Gateside Bay, Road Shore and Lochend Bay. Various flies including diawl bach, blob and booby on a sink tip line have worked. Scottish Club Championships Semi Final Results – sponsored by the Daily Record with additional prizes from the Angling Cente Stirling.
3 man teams qualifying for the Final on 5th October were Change AC 31 fish, Rothes Oak, Inverclyde, Monifeith, Kinross, Pitlochry, Falkirk Municipal, Wellington and ABCD. Top bags on the day were Jock Kettles 14 fish, Andy Dunn 13 fish and Kevin McCabe 12 fish. In total the 32 boats netted 221 fish for 570lbs, of which 54 were returned.
