In this weeks CHAS fundraiser at the Lake participants had to collect a minimum of £100 to enter the competition and to qualify for the prize draw (£1000 of travel vouchers 1st prize and 5 boats at the Lake 2nd prize).

The anglers taking part caught 113 fish and returned 43. The new charity champion is Bill Barnes from Fife, 2nd was Brian Clifton and 3rd Scott Pozzi. Stewart Marshall from Cambusbarron drew the main prize of £1000 worth of travel vouchers and Tom Taggart from Kilcreggan won the 5 free day boats at the Lake.

New Youth Champion Andy MacDougall from the Port of Menteith (pictured above) receiving the Lake Cormorants Championship Shield from Martin Grantham, Chairman of the Scottish Anglers National Association Youth Committee. The Cormorants are an Angling Youth Club sponsored by the Lake and managed by head coach Alasdair Mair. Andy caught 4 fish for 13lbs 2oz, 2nd was Martin Scobie from Buchlyvie with 4 fish for 12lbs 8oz, 3rd was Nicholas Coles from Brig o’ Turk.
