Inverclyde AC – (left to right), Ken Oliver (4 fish), Ian Campbell (9 fish) and Andy MacKay (11 fish), with the coveted silver salver. The winners of Scotland’s biggest angling team event collected a cheque for £500 and 3 Reddington rods from the Angling Centre Stirling. Second were West Lothian Fly Dressers (Bryant, Middlemas and MacKenzie) with 22 fish who received £300 and 3 reels. 3rd were Creiff Fly Fishers (Auchterlonie, Brock and Whyte) with 20 fish and they received £200. Andy MacKay caught the most fish on the day and was fishing snatchers on a sink tip at Reedy Point. The heaviest bag was Kevin McCabe with 10 fish (6 returned at 2lbs each) for 27lbs 5oz. Ian Campbell had most of his fish on fry patterns at Lochend. 216 fish were caught by the 54 anglers, 74 were returned and the average weight of the 142 retained fish – 2lbs 14oz. Over £1700 of prize money was dispensed.
