4th September Weekly Report

6ft Water Temp: 17C Secchi Disk Gateside: 3m Some chilly nights of recent has lowered water temperature to 17C and the fish are congregating to a lesser extent in the cages and are now staying in the shallower drifts as well as the deep. Heather flies have died off this week but the good clarity has remained and there is still a lot of top of the water action.

The new Scottish Ladies Champion is June Crighton from Edinburgh. Left to right are Ailsa Smith (2nd), Elaine McCracken (3rd), June Crighton (1st) and best newcomer Nicky Wood. In all the Ladies netted 67 fish with their 11 boats. The top 3 rods caught their 6 fish limit and placings were therefore influenced by a time bonus. Team places have not yet been announced. June was fishing in International Bay with a Di3 line and lures and nymphs.
