1st Oct Week Report

Another cold week with little wind or north or east winds. Hot spots this weekend reported to be Dog Isle, Gateside Bay and The Butts. Top fly this week – orange blob. Some very big fish in the Lake now.

In the semi-final of the Scottish Clubs on Friday 28th the 60 anglers netted 216 fish for 703lbs. An average weight of 3 ¼ lbs!

The nine 3 man teams qualifying for the Final on 5th October were; Creiff AC 34 fish, SANA 26 fish, West Lothian 25 fish , Soldier Palmers 20 fish, Edin Trout 18 fish, Lochgilphead 17 fish, Rainbow Warriors 16 fish, St.Fillans 16 fish and Grizzlecats 15 fish. In all the anglers caught 318 fish and returned 102. Top rod was Peter Auchterlonie with an amazing 20 fish.

The cages will be removed for Monday 22nd October, anglers will be able to access Gateside Bay from this day until the end of the season on the 31st October. Definitely some personal bests in there – and maybe a new Lake record.
