Scottish Club Championships Results – sponsored by the Daily Record
The whitecat and blob was popular during the recent Scottish club championships on Friday 22nd September – when 63 anglers landed 307 fish (rod average 4.9, average fish weight 2lbs 1oz). The 9 qualifying teams out of the 21 entrants were (in order) Creiff A, Strathtyrum, Bridge of allan, Rowbank, West Coast fly, IBM freshwater, Rothes Oak, Ayr AA, Avonbank. The best bag was Mike Willis of Bridge of Allan 76 with a catch of 15 fish. Mike was fishing the cat and blob with a fast glass at Chapel Point and Lochend.
