Water Temp: 18.5C Secchi Disk Gateside: 2.0m
A week of excellent fishing. The cold nights had the swallows gathering
on the wires and the loch steaming in the morning. The more clement water
temperatures have effected a four fold increase in catch rate, with club
boat averages reaching 10 fish, and limit bags common place. A lot of
beautifully conditioned big fish have been landed. Tactics have varied
from slow sink to intermediate to floating, with
the latter predominating in recent days. Traditional patterns, diawl bach
types, buzzer, white cat, cormorant and booby have all worked and the
best areas are still on top or near the deep water. Particularly the Gateside/Inchmahome
deeps and periphery, including the north shore of Inchmahome.
