WEEKLY FISHERY REPORT

Report for week ending 25th June.
Temperature at 6ft 16.5C; Clarity 3.2m.

This week was the turn of the Disabled International Fly Fishers at the Lake. Their competition was held over two days and the 28 anglers landed 116 trout for 318lbs in what was the 25th International competition. Top team were the English with 47 fish, 2nd were Scotland with 31 fish, 3rd was Wales with 27 fish and last Ireland with 11 fish. Congratulations to the English team which comprised; Steve Waddington (Capt) – pictured right, Ken Waters, Mike Hill, Stuart Hume, Don West, Eddie Gray and Mark Andrews. Best weight for the competition was Steve Waddington who caught most of his fish on size 12 or 14 diawl bachs – suspended up with a booby.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all – including the presentation dinner in the Dunblane Hydro and well done to International Chairman John Hood of Culross (back row - third from left) and secretary Fraser Renwick (far right) for their organizational wizardry.
