Fishery Report: 6th May to 12th May 2003
Current water temperature at 6ft is 11.5C and clarity 1.7m. Another very breezy week has made fishing conditions difficult. Visibility was slightly down and water temperatures are slow to pick up. The good news is that stocks in the Lake are building up so that when the wind abates there will be some big catches. There is also now a fantastic hatches of an array of non-biting midge types(black – green) and dark olives. Fish have been coming from all the drifts depending on the weather and successful lines have varied from the high D and cat - to dapplers on the top with a floating line.

Ron Orr (3/5/03 -photo D.Greirson). The prizes for the best photos supplied include free boats at the Lake. A panel of judges will decide the winners at the end of the season and photos received will be posted shortly in an anglers gallery. It is likely that there will be a fish photo prize and an other prize. Please send them in.
