| April Summary Fishery Report: 29th April to 5th May 2003 The downpours of the last week have brought in much cooler water and
returned the Lake to near normal levels. Big hatches of black midge and
olives have been occuring. Slow retrieve static buzzer (e.g. black epoxy
) and nymphs (e.g. black prince) when conditions allow, or lures (e.g.orange
blob, dancer) and traditional wets (kate mclaren, silver invicta) have
been the order of the day. All the captors of limit bags have found fish
in all the drifts. The fish Lilly leaves emerged this week
Margaret Johnston of Inverkip with her first Menteith Trout.
Scottish Club Championships kick off this weekend (6pm Saturday 10th May) and the competing teams are Aberdour, Alder Fly B, Avonbank, Bridge of Weir River, Canmore, Craufurdland, Dunf.
