Boatmen's Contact Details Menteith Boat League Fixtures 2007 & 2006 Financial Statement – 6/3/07 Hope you are all enjoying this March and looking forward to fishier times. We are pleased to announce that the Angling Centre Stirling is sponsoring the Boat League in 2007 and that prizes will be £20 vouchers for the winner of each heat and for the captor of the heaviest fish in each heat. Alternatively participants can choose an Airflow line from the Sixth Sense Series (Di7, Di5, Di3, fast glass, slow glass, midge tip and floating) which retails at £34.99. The Angling Centre Stirling will also provide a Cortland Rod to the 2007 Champion and further vouchers for 2nd and 3rd place. We would like to thank the sponsors and encourage participants to support the Angling Centre Stirling (online shop – www.anglingcentrestirling.co.uk ) when able. Items can be selected by eshop (currently being reloaded) or phone and can be delivered direct to the Lake for the following week or the angler’s home. Entry fee for the competition is £20. As the participants wished to minimise the prize money and maximise charitable donations, prizes have been pegged at £150 for the champion, £100 for 2nd Place and £50 for 3rd place. Thus (assuming 60 entrants – as in 2006), 25% of the entry fee is earmarked for prizes, 0-10% budgeted for the final buffet/miscellaneous, and the remaining ~ £850 will go to charity. The dates for this year are every Wednesday Evening 6pm till dusk – commencing 16th May and finishing on 8th August. The final will be held on the last evening heat (8th August) and following a 10pm finish, there will be a barbeque, drinks and presentation. All 13 evenings (including the final) can count towards league placings. This years final league position will be determined on the basis of the member’s top 9 placements. New rules for 2007. Guests are welcome and will be put into the competition boat partner pool. There is a new 12 fish limit per boat which will cover all the sessions, otherwise rules will be the same as last year. There is a Boat League Forum on the website, to which members may like to contribute.
