Angling Centre Stirling stay on board as sponsors for 2010!
We are very pleased to announce that the Angling Centre Stirling are continuing to sponsor the competition and will be giving away £1000 of prizes during the heats. The heat prizes are similar to last year; £20 vouchers for the winner of each heat and for the captor of the heaviest fish in each heat. Alternatively participants can choose an Airflow line from the Sixth Sense Series (Di7, Di5, Di3, fast glass, slow glass, midge tip and floating) which retails at £34.99.

Treasurers Report 2009:Boat League Deposits received £1080. Expenses £300 prize money, BBQ (Paid by fishery), Heat Prizes (Angling Centre Stirling). £780 given to CHAS (see letter of thanks on fishery notice board).

2010 Competition Dates/Rules
The dates for this year are every Wednesday Evening 6pm till dusk – commencing 12th May and finishing on the 18th August. The final will be held on the last evening heat (18th August) and following a 10pm finish, there will be a barbeque, drinks and presentation. All 15 evenings (including the final) can count towards league placings. This years final league position will be determined on the basis of the member’s top 9 placements.

Guests are welcome and anglers are requested to swap boat partners where possible to promote the friendly atmosphere of the League. The 10 fish limit per boat which will cover all the sessions, and the boat league individual limit is therefor 5 fish long evenings and 4 fish on the short evenings (see Tariff page for dates).. Rules will be the same as last year (i.e. Lake Rules), remembering that it is now a fishery rule that anglers must debarb when fishing catch and release.. There is a Boat League Forum on the website, to which members may like to contribute. Alternatively Douglas or I can be contacted using details below.

Entry
There is a £20 registration fee - most of which goes to charity - which is the winners choice. Email Quint or Douglas to join the league or the waiting list or phone the mobiles on the contact page.

Results 2010 Free Fly Lines to Best Bag and Heaviest Fish - Courtesy of the Angling Centre Stirling

28th July. Brian Mckenzie got his first victory this year and Simon Littlejohn came second. Brian got his fish in gateside bay on a white cat and crunchers on a floating line. Ronnie Robb and Peter Edge gets this weeks lines.With their worst three nights getting dropped Simon is now leading with Brian second and Ian slipping down to third. Remember there is an extra heat this year and we are finishing on the 18th Aug!
